Vector Automation of America LLC is an industrial automation systems integrator and reseller of industrial automation parts and components, headquartered at 250 Monroe NW, Suite 400, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503. We serve customers across the United States and internationally through two web properties, both operated by the same legal entity: • vectorautomation.com — our informational site describing our industrial automation systems integration services • store.vectorautomation.com — our online store for industrial spare parts and components Vector Automation of America LLC is the data controller responsible for the personal information collected through these websites and our business operations. By using either website, or by placing an order on our store, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.

• Responding to inquiries. Whether submitted through vectorautomation.com or the store contact form, we use your contact information to respond to your questions and provide information about our services.
• Order Fulfillment and Customer Service. We use your contact, billing, and shipping information to process and fulfill store orders, send order confirmations and shipping notifications, handle returns and warranty claims, and respond to inquiries.
• Account Management. If you create a store account, we use your information to manage your account, provide access to your order history, and maintain your saved preferences.
• Quote Processing. For Quote Only products, custom orders, and systems integration inquiries, we use your contact and company information to prepare, send, and follow up on custom quotes and proposals.
• Communications and Marketing. With your consent, we may send you promotional emails about new products, services, special offers, and company updates. You may opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.
• SMS / Text Message Communications. With your express written consent, we may send transactional and/or promotional SMS messages such as order updates, quote follow-ups, and special offers. See Section 8a for full details and opt-out instructions.
• Site and Service Improvement. We analyze website traffic and usage across both properties to understand visitor engagement and improve our services and site experience.
• Legal Compliance and Fraud Prevention. We use your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, verify compliance with export control requirements, detect and prevent fraudulent transactions, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

Vector Automation does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Shopify. Our store is powered by Shopify Inc. Shopify processes order and payment data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy and is certified PCI DSS compliant for payment card data handling.
• Shipping Carriers. We share your name, address, and order details with shipping carriers (such as UPS, FedEx, and USPS) to fulfill and track deliveries.
• Service Providers. We work with third-party providers that support scheduling, email communications, IT infrastructure, security, cloud storage, site analytics, legal and accounting services, and conferencing tools. These providers act on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using your data for their own purposes.
• Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vector Automation, our customers, or the public.
• Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Both of our websites use cookies and similar tracking technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that allow us to recognize you on return visits, maintain your shopping cart (on the store), and analyze website usage.

• Order and transaction records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with tax and accounting requirements.
• Account information is retained for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period thereafter.
• Contact form and inquiry records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and document the inquiry.
• Marketing preferences are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

All customers and website visitors have the right to access the personal information we hold about them, request correction of inaccurate data, opt out of marketing communications at any time, and request deletion of their personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA). By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box on any of our forms, you expressly consent to receive text messages from Vector Automation of America LLC at the phone number provided. These messages may include:

• Responses to inquiries submitted through either of our websites
• Promotional offers and product announcements (only with separate consent)

Opt-Out Instructions: Reply STOP to any SMS message from us; contact us through the Contact Us form on our website with subject line "SMS Opt-Out" and your phone number; or call (616) 279-6046 during business hours. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation text and no further SMS messages will be sent. Opting out of SMS does not affect other communications such as email or phone calls. Re-Subscribing: Reply START to our number, or re-submit your consent through any form on our websites. Message & Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Message frequency varies. SMS messaging is available through most major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and others; carrier support may vary. Third-Party Sharing: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted.

Our websites and services are intended for business and professional use and are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us through the Contact Us form on our website.

Vector Automation is based in the United States. If you are accessing our websites from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using our websites, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements.
